My New Jersey Favorites Home Page New Jersey is one of a few states known for dedication to preserving and teaching it's history. This re-enactment is the Battle of Monmouth in Freehold Township of Monmouth County. The Battle of Monmouth was one of the longest battles, and a turning point, in the Revolutionary War. The re-enactment can be seen during the last weekend in June in Monmouth Battlefield State Park. see more History
Island Beach State Park is located in the Shore Region of New Jersey in Seaside, of Ocean County. It boasts over nine miles of undeveloped coast. It is open to the public but the number or visitors is closely monitored by the park rangers. Once the limit is reached access is closed.
